Slurry can be one of the most challenging fluids to move. It’s abrasive, thick, can be corrosive, and can contain a high volume of solids. Slurry is tough on pumps. Met Pro slurry pumps are designed to handle various types of abrasive materials in many applications. They are offered in a wide range of sizes and configurations. Common lining materials include rubber and high-chrome alloys. The bearing assembly is grease-lubricated for easy maintenance, and the shaft seal can be furnished in either expeller type, where no flush water is required, or a standard stuffing box type.
